Origin Story: The Garonne River winds through southwest France, where the fertile valleys of the Midi-Pyrénées have long produced some of the country’s most beloved fromage frais and aromatic garlic. Unlike the bold, smoky Chinese Garlic that dominates with intensity, this French interpretation layers Garonne’s famed ail rose—softer and sweeter than its white cousins—into cool fresh cheese, then crowns it with fines herbes. The Lay’s Flavor Department imagined a picnic along the riverbank: crusty baguette, a tub of fresh cheese, and wild herbs picked from the hillside.
