Flavor: Dolma
Country: Iraq
When Seen: October 2024
In a Bite: Tangy, with a hint of spiciness
In a Haiku: Richly spiced and riced. Stuff it’ is no insult here. Your tongue will thank you.
Origin Story: When English speaking audiences think of dolma, the imagery that comes to mind is likely a stuffed grape leaf. In Iraq, however, dolmas include a wide range of different vegetables stuffed with a savory mix of rice, spices, and meat. Famous across the Middle East, it is the inspiration of this latest creation from the Lay’s Flavor Department.
