Origin Story: The bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich is a classic American sandwich dating back to the early 20th century, if not earlier. Much of its history is shrouded in mystery. The origins of this Lay’s flavor, however, are hardly a mystery at all. It would have been a capital offense had they not paid tribute to this beloved sandwich as part of their limited edition sandwich series.
