Origin Story: As the Great Recession wreaked havoc on the global economy, the team at the Lay’s flavor department looked for a radical new flavor that would sound so utterly unappealing that people would feel compelled to try it for themselves, just like poor, little Violet Beauregarde… and hence Blueberry flavor chips were born!
