Origin Story: “I wanted to let the meat speak for itself”, is a classic refrain on any cooking competition show when a contestant gets called out for underseasoning their dish. But when it comes to ribeye, it really does just take some salt and pepper. Unfortunately, their copy editor will need to find their own excuse for letting the extra space in ‘ribeye’ make it to final production.
