Origin Story: Sweet potato chips are certainly nothing new to the potato chip game, having been popularized by Terra chips more than 20 years ago. For whatever reason, perhaps out of a sense of loyalty to their proprietary FC5, they have long resisted using its sweet, distant cousin as a flavor canvas. That is, until someone in the Lay’s Flavor Department in China decided to go rogue.
