Origin Story: Taiwan is no stranger to ribs flavored potato chips, with Lay’s having released a roasted ribs flavor there back in at least 2019. Nowadays, people want a smokier flavor than roasting alone can provide, and to differentiate this one from its predecessor the Lay’s Flavor Department also opted for straight cut chips, instead of the wavy.
