In a Haiku: Ground up red chili. Pungent, spicy, and quite bold. That’s Thai-style food.
Origin Story: Thai cuisine is known for its variously colored curries, from green to yellow to red. Each has its own merits and unique tastes, but it turns out that red is simply a more visually appealing color to have dusted on a potato chip. Something about green dusted potato chips just didn’t work for flavor testers. Can’t imagine why.
