Origin Story: The Lay’s Flavor Department enjoys a good dare. Take two ingredients that share an ‘ac’ but little else—smoky, savory bacon and delicate, sweet peach—and force them onto the same chip. The result is divisive by design. The bacon dominates; the peach makes cameo appearances. Whether that’s harmony or heresy depends entirely on who’s tasting.
