Origin Story: As most chip enthusiasts will know, the American style classic is sour cream & onion, not cream & onion. Was this a typo, a localized twist on a classic, pure incompetence, or a glorious prank from an employee on their way out the door? We may never know the answer to that question, although we can’t help but imagine. Even the graphics department failed on this one, with their use of an image of Swiss cheese as a representation of cream.
