In a Bite: Untasted, although we’re guessing it tastes like traditional sour cream and onion flavor.
In a Haiku: Nostalgic flavor. Best to use mouthwash after. A taste that lingers.
Origin Story: It is claimed by some that sour cream & onion was one of the first flavors ever added to potato chips. Whether or not that’s the case, it is a flavor that has come to symbolize flavored potato chips, at least in their home of origin in the US. Over the years, the Lay’s Flavor Department has developed variations of this classic (such as gourmet and layered), but this version from Indonesia is straight up original.
