Origin Story: Pork has long been king in China and the nation’s appetite for the other white meat has only grown as its economy has grown. With seasonal demand and supply chain disruptions often driving up the price of fresh pork, the Lay’s Flavor Department saw an opening. What if they could provide consumers with a stable priced alternative that would scratch that swine itch?
