Origin Story: Taiwan’s coasts yield some of the world’s finest kelp – marine forests that sway in currents and absorb the mineral richness of the Pacific. Dried and powdered, this seaweed becomes a prized salt substitute in Taiwanese cooking, which the Lay’s Flavor Department is now bringing to the consumer in place of conventional salt.
