India’s Magic Masala – India

Flavor: India’s Magic Masala

Country: India

When Seen: May 2019

In a Bite: There’s an initial hint of rotten egg smell mixed with spices, but once you get past that, the flavor is a strangely compelling.

In a Haiku: Hits your nose at first. Power through and taste those chips. Join the spice parade.

Origin Story: You can’t be in India and not have a masala flavored chip, so this one was a no-brainer, really.

    1. Sorry, Venkat. We’re not associated with Lay’s, nor do we carry their product. This flavor is delicious though. We wish you luck finding some.

  2. Is there anyone who doesn’t think it tastes of egg for some reason? I can’t pin what it is exactly but it’s a huge turn off for me.

    1. From our recollection, it does have a bit of a sulfuric smell, similar to pani puri water. Perhaps next time try holding your nose shut when eating so you’ll reduce some of that flavor.
